After my despondent post about the destruction of the old ads in the Poland Street garage by graffiti, I was delighted to walk past Q-Park this morning and discover them restored to their former glory.
It’s not quite like Ernie Wise’s hairline. You can see the join! Or at least you can see that the ads look slightly different from how they were before attacked by spray paint. Particularly the one on the left where cracks in the wall are now apparent. But no matter, their recovery is almost complete and, not that I needed cheering up, the improvement made we happy. I continued on my way with an extra spring in my step.
Whoever has done such a wonderful job, I salute you!
Let’s hope the graffiti stays away.
