Walking is my my favourite way of getting around this city. Its the best way to explore. To have a look up here and a glimpse down there. And you can stop off in one of London’s 7,000 pubs to break the journey with a clear conscience.

Something catches my eye as I wander around and I take a photo. Or I discover something I didn’t previously know. This blog is where I post the pictures and write down the things that I find interesting. Its a form of scrap book really.

Hopefully you will find something of interest. It might even lead to you going to have a look for yourself. That would be great. But don’t forget the pubs. They need your trade.

We built this city on rock and roll

I spent part of 2014 working at The Serpentine Gallery. Whilst there we built a pavilion ( see photos of the work in progress) ready for the very glamorous summer party which starred Pharrel Williams. Juliette and I (in the last picture on party night) looked after Pharrel and made friends with Lily Allen and Matthew Williamson that night. Actually, we had a fight with her. She was “well refreshed”. We showed Nick Rhodes how to dance and kept Nick Grimshaw’s chin up in the wee small hours. I ended up dancing with Cara Delevingne in the Groucho Club. She is quite a bit taller than me and kept patting me on the head like I was Benny Hill’s bald sidekick. Strange job, strange evening.
